How does a hydroponic garden work?
You mix plant nutrients into the water tank and the system delivers them straight to the roots, with light from the built-in LED. No sunny windowsill needed.
How do I set up an indoor hydroponic garden?
Choose a spot near a power point, fill the tank with water, mix in the nutrients, plant your seeds and switch on the light. Setup is a first-evening job, not a weekend project.
Do plants really grow faster in hydroponics?
In our test grows, noticeably faster than in soil. With nutrients on tap and steady light, lettuce goes from seed to salad in about a month.
Are hydroponics worth it?
If you cook with herbs and salad greens regularly, yes: one system keeps a steady supply going year-round, with no weeding, no soil and no waiting on the weather. If you only garden now and then, a microgreen kit is the cheaper way to test the waters.
What can I grow?
In a hydroponic garden, leafy greens and herbs are the sweet spot: lettuce, spinach, basil, mint, bok choy.
