Step 1 — Rent: Choose your kit
Sign up us in your school′s link. Choose the kit that suits your child′s age and curiosity. Pay the flat rental fee — $50 for TG-01 or $75 for TG-02, $100 for TG-03.
On Pickup Day, your child will receive their complete kit at school. Due to the size and weight of the item, parental assistance will be needed to transport it home.
Step 2 — Grow: Ten weeks of growing at home.
Everything your child needs is inside the box. Seeds, growing medium, instructions, and a Golden Ticket fridge magnet. I'll send growing tips every couple of weeks. Your child does the rest. By mid-term, there's food on the table.

What if my child breaks the kit?
Growing kits live in real homes. Things happen. Here's how we handle it:
LaNiTex covers all normal wear and tear — scratches, scuffs, natural staining — without question. We also cover accidental breakage consistent with normal home use: a tray cracked during regular use, a sprayer that stopped working, anything that stopped functioning despite being used correctly.

The only exception is deliberate misuse or significant damage — and even then, we handle it as a direct conversation with the family, not through the school. No automatic charges, no drama.
What happens during the school holidays?
The kit stays at your home throughout the term — including any mid-term public holidays.
For the end-of-term transition, we call it the **Clean Slate Protocol**: at Harvest Festival (Week 10), harvest everything remaining, give the growing surfaces a quick clean, and store the kit on your bench. If you're entering next term's programme, you start fresh with new seeds.
For mid-term holidays:
**TG-01 Microgreens:** The growing mat holds moisture. You can pause between trays for up to 1–2 weeks without issue.
**TG-02 Mushroom Box:** If you've finished your first flush, rinse the block and leave it in a cool spot. It may produce a second flush after rest.
**TG-03 Smart Grow Box:** The self-watering reservoir lasts 1–2 weeks unattended. We include specific holiday instructions in your Week 6 tip email.
Is it messy?
No soil. No run-off. No insects.
TG-01 uses a grow mat inside a sealed self-watering unit — clean, contained, no dirt. TG-02 uses a substrate block inside a semi-automated sealed box that manages its own humidity. TG-03 uses water-based nutrient solution in a sealed 9L reservoir. All three sit on a kitchen bench or windowsill.
The biggest mess you'll encounter is harvest day. A cutting board and a rinse under the tap is all you need.
What if my child loses interest mid-term?
